Chronic absenteeism

In 2015, 13 percent of 1st-12th grade students were chronically absent from school, meaning they missed more than 10 percent of school days.

For both early and later grades, American Indian students had the highest rates of chronic absenteeism with 33 percent of 1st-3rd graders and 39 percent of 4th-12th graders missing more than 10 percent of school days in 2015.
