The State of Minnesota enacted World’s Best Workforce legislation in 2013. The goal of this legislation is to ensure every school district in the state is making strides to increase student performance. Information related to school districts' roles in implementing this legislation is available on the Minnesota Department of Education’s website.
Leaders from Minnesota state agencies regularly meet to assess progress on the legislation’s goals and to identify opportunities to support school districts and other local stakeholders.
Minnesota Management & Budget coordinates this interagency collaboration and its underlying data analyses with grant support from the McKnight Foundation.
