Broadband Access

Broadband access allows Minnesota communities to access the technology and information resources needed to thrive in a global economy. In 2015, 79 percent of Minnesota households had high speed broadband access from a wireline or fixed wireless provider.

Minnesota has a statutory goal that all state residents and businesses will have access to high-speed broadband that provides at least 10 Mbps download speed and at least 5 Mbps upload speed.
