Oral Health Plan

MAD's Barbara Deming worked with the Minnesota Department of Health to create Minnesota's first Oral Health Plan.

Dental Services Delivery System

DHS asked for MAD’s help in engaging stakeholders across all topic areas, managing the project and developing recommendations in six areas.

Hennepin County Contract Kaizen Process

MAD worked with Hennepin County to implement a Kaizen Process for county contracting

Health Care Regulatory Simplification

The Minnesota Legislature directed MAD to lead four state agencies to "eliminate redundant, unnecessary and obsolete" health care reports.

Developing Dashboard Indicators using Results Based Accountability

MAD assisted the Metropolitan Council to develop key performance indicators for the Council's performance dashboard.

Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Strategic Planning

In 2013, the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) hired MAD to guide a strategic planning process that would help them identify and meet new challenges facing the organization.

Senior Advisory Council Review

In the aftermath of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, the Department of Public Safety’s Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management established the Senior Advisory Committee to create partnerships between the department and other stakeholders. However, the transition from the initial post-9/11 landscape challenged the committee to renew its purpose. MAD helped refocus and reinvigorate the committee to continue it’s important work and adapt to changing needs.

MnDOT Metro Maintenance Business Plan

MnDOT Metro District Maintenance Operations approached MAD to help them develop a business plan to assess current capabilities and challenges and establish goals, strategies and implementation plans. MAD consultants facilitated the plan development process and prepared a staff and management-led Metro Maintenance Operations Business Plan for the coming three-year period

Motor Vehicle Insurance Task Force

Several state agencies, the legislature and many Minnesotans have concerns that too many people in Minnesota drive without motor vehicle liability coverage. In 2014, the legislature addressed this issue by establishing a task force to "review and evaluate approaches to insurance coverage verification and recommend legislation to create and fund a program in this state.” MAD helped DPS and the legislative task force develop recommendations to improve a statewide insurance verification program.

Legislative Study: Minnesota's Preparedness for an Oil Transportation Incident

The reporting requirement posed this basic question: Is Minnesota ready for an oil transportation incident? The legislature sought information on the state's capacity to respond to a public safety incident, an examination of needs for local governments that might respond to an incident, and recommendations for allocation of funds or legislative changes.

Alternative Financing for State Highway Rest Areas

MAD worked with the Minnesota Department of Transportation to explore new revenue sources to help repair and maintain the state's safety rest areas.
