Brian Zaidman has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2007, representing the Department of Labor and Industry. He has served as vice-chair and chair of the Board, and currently chairs the Coordinator Relations Committee, which is responsible for coordinator recruitment, training and feedback.
Brian has put his B.A. and graduate studies in psychology to work as a senior research analyst at the Department of Labor and Industry since 1987. Among his various duties, he conducts and enables research using the workers' compensation claims database, is involved with a variety of surveys, and is responsible for organizing and disseminating Minnesota's occupational injury and illness rates and characteristics and work-related fatality statistics. Brian gives regular presentations and webinars on the basics of OSHA log recordkeeping.
Brian is married with three grown children (all college grads) and spends much of his time involved with charity and social justice issues. He also chairs the Diversity Committee at Labor and Industry.
