Did you receive an exposure notification?

COVIDawareMN image

If you received an exposure notification through COVIDaware MN, that means you were likely in close contact with someone who has been verified to have COVID-19. Close contact means you spent 15 minutes or more within 6 feet of that person or people over the course of a day.

If you were in close contact with someone who has COVID-19, you will likely need to stay home and away from others (quarantine) for up to 14 days, even if you do not have any symptoms. You will also need to get tested, preferably at least five days after exposure. COVIDaware MN will give you a date range when the exposure likely happened.

If you have any symptoms, get tested for COVID-19 right away. Talk to your health care provider if you want more information. Check out testing options and locations.

If you do not have symptoms, the safest option is to stay home and away from others for 14 days. In certain situations, you may end your quarantine after 10 days, or after seven days with a negative COVID-19 test result. You cannot end your quarantine before seven days for any reason.
