A driving assessment that evaluates a person's ability to drive a car. They are typically done for older individuals or people with disabilities. MORE INFORMATION Offers driving instructors to help seniors and people with physical, visual and cognitive disabilities to address driving issues. An evaluation includes clinical pre-driver screening along with behind-the-wheel assessment and adaptive equipment recommendations. Behind-the-wheel evaluation includes:

• Vehicle entry and seating
• Operation of primary and secondary controls
• Adaptive equipment, if needed
• Vehicle operation
• Knowledge of traffic rules
• Judgment and decision-making
• Visual awareness and attention
• Ability to safely negotiate typical traffic environments

The results of the evaluation are first discussed with the client, and then a detailed written report with recommendations is sent to the client, their physician or the referral source.
