Respite provides care on a short-term basis for a person who cannot take care of themselves, and who is usually taken care of by a family member or friend. The service is designed to provide temporary coverage for the caregiver during an absence or need for relief. MORE INFORMATION Adult day respite services for adults are provided at the hospital for people requiring care while caregiver works, has time away for shopping, errands, etc.
