This program provides support to people in abusive situations and works to reduce relationship abuse, intimate partner violence and family violence. Programs may include crisis intervention and domestic and sexual violence education and prevention. MORE INFORMATION Advocates help sexual assault survivors answer questions and provide support with the police, county system and medical examinations. Additional offerings:
  • Help navigating the legal and medical systems
  • Attendance at police interviews, court proceedings and medical exams
  • Referrals for therapy or other services
  • Supporting children
  • Attending criminal and civil hearings in Dakota County
  • Writing Orders for Protection, Harassment Restraining Orders and Victim Impact Statements
  • Referrals to a monthly legal clinic for family law assistance
  • Survivor support dog services also available.
