The proposed amendment to rules of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Driver and Vehicle Services (Minnesota Rules Chapter 7422) governing proposed new permanent rules for motorcycle road guard certificatoin and qualification requirements has been assigned to Administrative Law Judge Eric L. Lipman; OAH Docket No. 8-2400-22867.
As part of the rulemaking process, a hearing will be held on December 18, 2013, in St. Paul. A twenty-calendar-day period has been set for the receipt of written comments regarding the proposed rules post-hearing. Thus, the initial deadline for the submission of written comments in this rulemaking proceeding is 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2014. After the period for submission of written comments ends, state law provides the Department and all interested persons an additional period of five working days for filing a written response to any comments which were submitted during the initial comment period. New matters may not be introduced or raised during this five-day rebuttal period. The five-day rebuttal period will expire at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2014.
