The information I received gave me confidence to advocate for my daughter. Knowledge is a powerful tool.
I was determined to go back to school to receive my G. E. D. I have more confidence in asking and seeking what my girls need and deserve. I ran for the School Board and will try again this fall.
This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to receive an enormous education in a few weekends. It provided me with confidence, assurance, poise and determination that I too can make a difference for people with developmental disabilities.
