"Always Lost: A Meditation on War, ” is an exhibit that brings home the costs of war and honors those who died in Iraq and Afghanistan. This exhibit will be on display at the M State Fergus Falls campus.
M State is the first stop on a Minnesota tour for the exhibit, which includes Pulitzer Prize-winning combat photos from the Iraqi war by photographers from The Dallas Morning News and the “Wall of the Dead,” which depicts the faces and names of U.S. military war casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan since Sept. 11, 2001.
Olmsted County Parks, in collaboration with the Olmsted County Veterans Service Office and MN Disabled American Veterans Chapter 28 is offering an opportunity for a limited number of service connected, disabled Veterans to deer hunt within the boundaries of Chester Woods Park during the 2014 3A firearms deer season.
In honor and remembrance of Minnesota’s Fallen Service Members, Commissioner Larry Shellito of the Minnesota Department of Veteran Affairs has designated the first weekend in October to host this year’s Annual Gold Star Family Retreat.
