Minnesota Board of Nursing now accepting applications for APRN Licensure

Mary Chesney, PhD, RN, CPNP, was issued the first APRN license by the Minnesota Board of Nursing. On May 13, 2014, and effective January 1, 2015, Governor Dayton signed into law a bill that requires licensure for all Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs).

Road Map to Controlled Substance Diversion Prevention

The Board participated in a Coalition of stakeholders to identify best practices and resources to prevent, identify and investigate controlled substance diversion.

Influenza Clinic Alert

The Board encourages nurses employed by or contracted to work for immunization clinics in Minnesota to be aware of the relevant laws and rules related to nursing practice and immunizations.

NCSBN Social Media Guidelines for Nurses

NCSBN has developed social media guidelines for nurses, along with a number of resources to help disseminate best practices.
