DNP License Renewal

YOUR CURRENT MINNESOTA DIETITIAN OR NUTRITIONIST LICENSE WILL EXPIRE NOVEMBER 30, 2013


Fees: $50.00 ($45 renewal fee+ $5.00 OET surcharge).
Continuing Education:  NO CONTINUING EDUCATION is required to renew for the period 12/1/13-11/30/14.  The current continuing education cycle is the three (3) year period of December 1, 2012-November 30, 2015.

Licensees may request a paper renewal by emailing: board.dietetics-nutrition@state.mn.us. Please allow 24 hours for a response.


If you do not intend to renew your MN LD or LN please notify the Board in writing by US Mail or email at board.dietetics-nutrition@state.mn.us.

To avoid late fees, your renewal must be postmarked on or before November 30, 2013 or online transactions must be fully completed by midnight, November 30, 2013.

Agency 

    The Board of Dietetics and Nutrition Practice is responsible for protection of the public through the regulation of dietitians and nutritionists in the State of MN.  The board was established in 1995 under the authority of MN Statutes, Chapter 148, and MN Rules, Chapter 3250. 

    MN Statutes define licensure and states in 148.630 (a) No person may engage in dietetics or nutrition practice unless the person is licensed as a dietitian or nutritionist by the Board.  No person may use the title “dietitian,” “licensed dietitian,” “nutritionist,” “licensed nutritionist, or any other occupational title using the word “dietitian” or nutritionist” unless so licensed by the board, nor shall any person hold out dietician or nutritionist unless so licensed.
