Lt. Governor Prettner Solon Extends Stay in Duluth
September 07, 2011
Duluth Satellite Office will hold office hours throughout September, October and November
St. Paul – Following a successful inaugural summer, Lt. Governor Yvonne Prettner Solon’s satellite office in Duluth will remain open throughout the fall. Lt. Governor Prettner Solon will continue holding office hours twice a month in October and November, as well as taking appointments as available in September.
The extended hours are part of a larger effort to bring the capitol to Greater Minnesota. Lt. Governor Prettner Solon is fresh off a tour of Greater Minnesota communities that included a town hall, office hours and tours of local businesses and initiatives. These efforts reflect Governor Dayton and Lt. Governor Prettner Solon’s strong commitment to transparency and accessibility, and a desire to provide Minnesotans with the opportunity to meet with state leaders in their own communities.
The Lt. Governor’s satellite office, which opened last June, is located in the Duluth Technology Village and is hosted by the University of Minnesota-Duluth, at no cost to the state, as a service to the community. To request a one-on-one meeting with the Lieutenant Governor, residents are encouraged to visit
