    December 23, 2013 - Today, Governor Mark Dayton announced the appointment of Mr. Mark C. Vandelist as District Court Judge in Minnesota’s First Judicial District. Mr. Vandelist will be replacing the Honorable Edward I. Lynch, who retired earlier this year. The judgeship will be chambered at Le Center in Le Sueur County.

Manning as District Court Judges in Minnesota’s Fourth Judicial District. The appointees will be filling vacancies created upon the retirements earlier this year of the Honorable John L. Holahan, Jr., the Honorable William R. Howard, the Honorable Marilyn J. Kaman, the Honorable Richard S. Scherer and the Honorable Lloyd B. Zimmerman. These judgeships will be chambered at Minneapolis in Hennepin County in the Fourth Judicial District.

  • Entrepreneurs, Business Startups to Benefit from $6.7 Million Angel Loan Fund
    December 12, 2013 - ST. PAUL, MN – Entrepreneurs are about to get a needed boost of funding to start, expand, and sustain new businesses in Minnesota. Today at the state Capitol, Governor Mark Dayton and Commissioner Katie Clark Sieben announced the state has created a new $6.7 million Angel Loan Fund that will provide no-interest loans of up to $250,000 for startup businesses. Starting in early December, entrepreneurs across Minnesota can begin applying for these loans to help with business startup costs, working capital, equipment purchases, construction, inventory financing, franchise funding, and more.
