October 01, 2012 - SAINT PAUL, MN – Governor Dayton announced today that a judgeship vacancy will be occurring on the Minnesota’s Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals. The Honorable Thomas L. Johnson’s term will be expiring, leaving a vacancy for a judgeship on the Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals.
September 29, 2012 - In honor of firefighters who have been killed or disabled in the line of duty, Governor Mark Dayton has ordered all United States flags and Minnesota flags be flown at half-staff at all state and federal buildings in the State of Minnesota, from sunrise until sunset on Sunday, September 30, 2012.

This vacancy is created upon the resignation of the Honorable Sheryl A. Ramstad. Governor Dayton is asking for applicants to serve as one of three judges on the Minnesota Tax Court. Earlier this month, Governor Dayton announced a vacancy created upon the resignation of the Honorable Kathleen H. Sanberg.
September 14, 2012 - Saint Paul, MN – The Commission on Judicial Selection announced today it is recommending four candidates to Governor Mark Dayton for consideration to fill the current vacancies occurring in Minnesota’s Eighth Judicial District. These vacancies were created upon the retirements of the Honorable Steven E. Drange and the Honorable Paul A. Nelson. Judge Drange’s seat will be chambered at Litchfield in Meeker County and Judge Nelson’s seat will be chambered at Montevideo in Chippewa County. Both seats will be chambered within the Eighth Judicial District.
