Kanning is retiring, leaving a vacancy to be chambered at Chaska in Carver County in the First Judicial District.
August 28, 2012 - Saint Paul—Today, Governor Mark Dayton announced the appointment of Ms. Ann M. Offermann and Mr. Christian S. Wilton as District Court Judges in Minnesota's First Judicial District. Ms. Offermann and Mr. Wilton will replace the Honorable Carol Hooten who was appointed to the Minnesota Court of Appeals and the Honorable William Macklin who retired earlier this year. Both seats will be chambered at Shakopee in Scott County.

Mr. Weiler will replace the Honorable Skipper J. Pearson who retired earlier this year. This seat will be chambered in Milaca in Mille Lacs County in Minnesota’s Seventh Judicial District.
