Commission on Judicial Selection Announces Vacancies in Ninth Judicial District
December 28, 2012 - Saint Paul, MN – The Commission on Judicial Selection announced today that two judgeship vacancies are occurring in Minnesota’s Ninth Judicial District Court. These vacancies were created upon the retirements of The Honorable Michael J. Kraker and The Honorable John R. Hawkinson.

Governor Dayton appoints Judge John P. Smith to Fill At-Large Seat on Minnesota Court of Appeals
December 19, 2012 - ST. PAUL, MN – Today, Governor Mark Dayton announced the appointment of the Honorable John P. Smith as judge of an at-large seat on the Minnesota Court of Appeals. Judge Smith will be replacing The Honorable Wilhelmina M. Wright, who was appointed earlier this year to the Minnesota Supreme Court.
