• Governor Dayton Files “Notice of Intent to Appoint” Forms Naming Individuals to the Met Council
  
  March 02, 2011 - Today, Governor Mark Dayton filed “Notice of Intent to Appoint” forms with the Secretary of State for the sixteen Metropolitan Council districts. After a five day review period, required by statute, these individuals will be appointed to the Metropolitan Council next Monday, March 7, 2011.
• Governor Dayton Proclaims March Reading Month, Women's History Month
  
  March 01, 2011 - Today, Governor Mark Dayton announced that he has proclaimed the month of March, 2011 to be Reading Month, along with March 2, 2011 as Read Across America Day, a national celebration of Dr. Seuss's 107th birthday, in the state of Minnesota.
• Dayton Announces Vacancy in Third Judicial District
  
  March 01, 2011 - Governor Mark Dayton today announced a judicial vacancy in Minnesota’s Third Judicial District Court. The Honorable John A. Chesterman, who served in Freeborn County, has retired from the Third Judicial District Court, leaving a vacancy for a district judgeship.
