November 04, 2011 - The Commission on Judicial Selection announced today it is recommending three candidates to Governor Mark Dayton for consideration to fill the current vacancy created upon Judge Charles A. Porter Jr’s retirement in Minnesota’s Fourth Judicial District. The Fourth Judicial District consists of Hennepin County.
November 01, 2011 - At last Friday’s meeting of Legislative Leaders with Governor Dayton and Chairman Ted Mondale, the consensus among the legislative leadership was that there was not sufficient support in either body to exempt Ramsey County or the City of Minneapolis from holding a referendum on increasing a local sales tax to finance a Vikings stadium.
October 31, 2011 - Today, Governor Mark Dayton signed executive order 11-30, establishing a Vision for Health Care Reform in Minnesota. The order charges the Minnesota Health Care Reform Task Force, along with members of the Governor's Cabinet, to develop an action plan for reforming how we deliver and pay for health care in Minnesota.
