The Minnesota WorkForce Center - Monticello works in collaboration with key partners to make sure that area job seekers find employment and training and area businesses find the skilled workers they need.

Services

  • Job Service for the General Public

    Job Service provides the following services for job seekers:

    • Choose from a variety of no-cost workshops designed to help anyone learn foundational and up-to-date job search methods and techniques.
    • Schedule confidential one-on-one appointments to discuss roadblocks to a successful job search, find resources and get individualized coaching.
    • Have your resume reviewed by one of our trained staff, either in person or online.  Contact Resume.Review.Central.DEED@state.mn.us.
    • Assistance with locating Labor Market Information you need to make sound career decisions.
  • Business Services Representatives

    Our business services staff are available to help area companies with their business and workforce development needs.

    Business Services Representatives help companies meet hiring and worker training needs and find the right solutions to a wide variety of business problems. They provide technical analysis and workforce strategy advice as well as basic and detailed business information.

  • Veterans Services

    This WorkForce Center is staffed with a Veterans Employment Representative who provides a wide variety of special services to help veterans find employment, training or career counseling. Contact:

    Join Our Veterans Networking Club!
    Our Veterans Networking Club meets here at the Monticello WorkForce Center the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

    Hear guest speakers, exchange ideas and job leads, get feedback and expert guidance on resume strategies, interviewing techniques and much more.

  • For Workers Experiencing a Layoff

    Dislocated Worker Program

    This program is for workers who have lost their job through no fault of their own.  The goal is to help workers find new jobs at comparable wages.  Workers may apply for services as soon as they receive notice of permanent layoff.  Services are delivered by Central Minnesota Jobs and Training Services. Contact 763-271-3700 for more information or to schedule an appointment.

  • Services for People with Disabilities

    Vocational Rehabilitation Services is for people with disabilities, who want to get or keep a job.

    To begin the intake process, please call 763-271-3734 to schedule an orientation. At the orientation, a staff person will talk to you about the world of work and help you decide if you want to apply for services.

    • Equipment/Assistive Technology
  • Services for the Blind or Visually Impaired

    State Services for the Blind (SSB) provides direct services to eligible persons of all ages who are blind or visually impaired.

    Services are designed to help clients prepare for, find and keep jobs as well as work and live as independently as possible. Contact Barb at 320-308-4800.
