The SRC invites your application for membership. Application forms, including applications in alternative formats, are available from the Secretary of State, 651-215-1440; TYY 800-627-3529; or on the Secretary of State's website.
Any Minnesotan is eligible for membership. Appointments are made by the governor based on considerations that include personal qualifications for service and the council’s need for statewide representation. Membership must always include representation of persons with disabilities, former or current consumers of VRS, community rehabilitation programs, VRS counselors, parents, advocates, business, industry, labor, and members of traditionally under-served populations. Approximately five appointments are made annually. Appointments are made for terms of three years.
The council meets 10 times annually on the fourth Wednesday of the month, usually in the Saint Paul area, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
See the SRC Reports webpage for the annual, committee, and special reports of the SRC.
