Brownfield Resources Information Session - Thursday, August 28, 2014.

DEED's Office of Brownfields and Redevelopment and the Metropolitan Council will hold an information session Thursday, August 28, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, at the Maplewood Library, 3025 Southlawn Drive in Maplewood, for anyone interested in learning about state and federal programs that assist with the cost of cleaning up contaminated land. 

Low-interest loans and more than $8 million in grants will be available to investigate or cleanup contaminated sites associated with real estate development and redevelopment. State and federal funds are available for sites with:

  • Petroleum contamination
  • Groundwater contamination
  • Soil contamination
  • Asbestos and hazardous materials

Agency representatives will discuss programs and funds available from:

  • Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development
  • Metropolitan Council
  • Hennepin County
  • Ramsey County

No advanced registration is required. No fee to attend. Parking is free.
