Health Insurance Exchange Task Force to Visit New Ulm Wednesday

NEW ULM, MN – A Task Force advising the Minnesota Department of Commerce in the design and development of a new health insurance marketplace for Minnesota consumers will meet in New Ulm on Wednesday, August 29 from 1:00-3:00 pm. The 15-member task force, chaired by Commerce Commissioner Mike Rothman, is comprised of consumers, employers, health care providers, insurers, state legislators, and other health care experts.
The Health Insurance Exchange Advisory Task Force will meet in the 3rd floor Auditorium of the Hospital annex at the New Ulm Medical Center, 1324 Fifth North Street, New Ulm. Members of the press are invited to attend. The main topics on the agenda are:
- A status update of the exchange technical infrastructure contract
- A presentation on Race/Ethnicity/Language Data Partnership
- Recommendations from the Adverse Selection Work Group
- Final report on the Public Education and Outreach Market Research
