MEPC to host energy summit on Feb. 6 in West Saint Paul

The Metropolitan Energy Policy Coalition will host an energy summit called “Making Connections: Energy Trends and Our Vital Local Economy” on Feb. 6 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dakota Lodge, Thompson County Park in West Saint Paul. The event will feature decision makers from local government to uncover the trends in the way we produce, distribute, and use energy. Bill Grant, deputy commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Commerce, Division of Energy Resources, will provide a Minnesota Energy Policy Update and Lena Hansen of Rocky Mountain Institute will give the keynote address. Panels of energy experts will discuss policy and implementation. The summit agenda and registration information are available at
