This legislative session is currently busy with several bills aimed at increasing the deployment of solar energy and other distributed generation technologies in Minnesota. Bills being considered would increase the cap on net-metered systems from 40 kW to 1,000 kW, establish minimum solar electricity generation standards for utilities, and increase renewable energy goals in Minnesota.
