Wind in Minnesota
Minnesota has enduring and on-going support for wind power. Just under 13% of the power generated in Minnesota today is produced from the wind. That compares to about 9% in 2010 and 3% in 2005.
Minnesota leads the nation in Community-owned Wind projects. Of approximately 2,740 MW capacity installed 545 MW is community-owned.
