Composting Livestock and Poultry Mortalities

Composting converts waste products such as animal carcasses, straw, sawdust, and poultry litter into an odorless, generally pathogen-free product that can be used as an organic fertilizer.

The Board offers a simple guide to help livestock producers set up a successful composting system. To order a printed copy, please call 651-296-2942.
